(1, 17, 18) Winner of the 2003 Masters. Sank a clutch seven-foot par putt on the 72nd hole to force a playoff, then defeated Len Mattiace on the first extra hole to claim the Green Jacket. One of only four champions to score a bogey-free final round. Became the first Canadian and first left-hander to win the Masters. Captured the 2007 Fry's Electronics Open. Also T8 at the British Open. Topped World No. 1 Tiger Woods in Canadian homeland in the Presidents Cup after joining the team as a Captain's Pick. In 2006 was T6 at the US Open and sixth at the PGA Championship. Successfully defended his title at the 2004 Nissan Open. A winner of eight PGA TOUR titles including two in 2003 plus the Masters. Captured the 2001 Tour Championship winning the title in a four-man playoff. In 2000 won the WGC-American Express Championship and in 1999 the Air Canada Championship. First Canadian to play in the Presidents Cup setting the precedent in 2000 and has competed on four teams. A southpaw, at age 13 wrote to Jack Nicklaus asking whether he should switch to playing right-handed. Response was to stick to natural swing. Ninth Masters appearance.
