(1) In 1985, playing in his third Masters, became the third international player to win the Tournament. Won his second Masters in 1993 by four strokes over Chip Beck. Has placed in the top 10 eight times in 25 appearances. Had four top 10 finishes in 14 starts on the PGA TOUR in 2007 including a playoff loss at Colonial and notched his first Champions Tour victory. On the senior circuit, equaled the all-time scoring mark for 54-holes at 25-under-par. Inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in Fall 2002. A winner of 58 international titles. Runner-up in the 1981 and 1984 British Opens. Member, 10 European Ryder Cup Teams, 1981 through 2002, and 11 World Cup Teams. Winnning captain of the European squad for the 2004 Ryder Cup matches. Has played in 25 Masters.
