In 2006 he won twice and finished in the top 10 on the PGA TOUR money list, both firsts in his career. Successfully defended his title at the 2006 Mercedes Championship capturing the event for the third consecutive year. Also a winner at the Houston Open, where he won in 1999, becoming the tournament's first wire-to-wire winner. Owns eight PGA TOUR titles.
